Colonie Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Painting with a Twist

Latham, New York – March 21, 2016 – Painting with a Twist’s newest franchise location in Latham is set to begin paint and sip classes March 24th. The location owners, Michael Cochrane and Dennis Proulx, in conjunction with the Colonie Chamber of Commerce, are planning a grand opening celebration Wednesday, March 30th at 5:00pm, featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony, hors d’oeuvres, and wine, and a complimentary painting class for the first 42 registrants. 

Colonie Chamber of Commerce Partners with Local High School 

Latham, New York – April 5, 2016 – Advertising and Graphic Design students at Shaker High School created a number of logos for the Colonie Chamber of Commerce’s four committees: Ambassadors Committee, Women-for-Women Committee, G*R*E*A*T Committee, and Business Education Partnership. The Chamber has opted to move forward with two concepts created by Jaclyn Swierczewski, class of 2016, and Jessica Warren, class of 2015, for the Business Education Partnership and G*R*E*A*T Committee. The logos will be used in branding efforts, featured on the Chamber’s website, committee recruitment materials and in new member packets.

Locally Owned DIY Dog Wash Opens Third Location 


Colonie, New York – May 6, 2016 – The locally owned and operated do-it-yourself dog spa, Shampoodle, opened its third location in Colonie, NY. Dog owners bathe their own dogs in waist-high tubs, equipped with stairs and ramps to ensure easy access for the furry friends, with shampoo, scrubby, conditioner, ear and eye cleaner, towels, dryers, rakes, and combs included in the $15 price. Shampoodle also offers professional grooming and kennel-free doggy daycare from award-winning staff.
